Tomi Adesina is indeed a wonder woman. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Tomi identifies as a writer – screenwriter, poet, fiction series blogger and filmmaker.
She got her first degree in Microbiology from Bowen university and her masters degree in Environmental Biology from Unilag. In 2013 she won the Nigerian Blog Awards for her blog fiction series – in 2015 her screenplay on cyber-bullying (Feisty John) won the “Homevida” Prize. She also won the Nigerian Writers Award for Best Young Writer in 2015 and her short stories have been featured in magazines across Africa. Despite Tomi’s achievements, she admits to being a passionate sports lover and supports the Chelsea Football Club.
On her biggest challenge as a writer, Tomi says ” It has to have been having to deal with the words I have been unable to say. It’s a constant battle dealing with characters in your head who just want to be expressed.”
Tomi Adesina believes in being focused, determined, courageous and a total understanding of self worth.
